Returns, Exchanges & Refund Policy

At Vara Sarees, we want you to love every saree you receive. We understand that shopping for fabric online requires trust, and we take that responsibility seriously. This policy clearly explains when and how you can return or exchange a product, and how your refund will be processed.

1. Return Eligibility
You may raise a return request within 7 days of delivery if any of the following conditions are met:
• The product received is defective — torn, frayed, or has a manufacturing fault.
• The product is significantly different from what was shown or described on the Website (wrong color, wrong product, wrong design).
• The product was damaged in transit.
• You received an incorrect item (wrong SKU or style shipped).
• The product did not meet the fabric or quality description listed on the product page.
We also accept returns for change of mind within the 7-day window, subject to the condition requirements below. Change-of-mind returns will not include the original shipping charge (if any was applied).
2. Condition Requirements for Returns
To be eligible for a return or exchange, the product must meet ALL of the following conditions:
• The saree must be unused and unworn.
• It must not have been washed, dry-cleaned, or ironed.
• All original tags, labels, and packaging must be intact and attached.
• The product must be returned in its original packaging (box, cover, or bag as received).
• A photo of the product and the issue must be shared at the time of raising the request.
Products that do not meet the above conditions will NOT be accepted for return and will be sent back to the customer at their cost.
3. Items Not Eligible for Return
The following items cannot be returned or exchanged under any circumstances:
• Sarees that have been used, worn, or tried on (beyond a simple inspection).
• Washed or dry-cleaned sarees.
• Products with missing tags, labels, or original packaging.
• Custom-stitched or altered sarees (blouse stitching, fall, or pico done on the saree).
• Products purchased during special clearance sales or marked as "Final Sale" / "Non-Returnable" on the product page.
• Items returned after 7 days of delivery.
Note: Slight variations in color between the screen display and the actual product are normal due to screen calibration differences and are not considered defects. Similarly, minor irregularities in handloom or artisan weaves are part of the product's character and are not grounds for return.
4. How to Raise a Return Request
Follow these steps to initiate a return or exchange:
1. Contact our support team within 7 days of delivery via email at [support email] or WhatsApp/phone at [contact number].
2. Share your Order ID, the product name, and the reason for return.
3. Attach clear photos of the product — full view and close-up of the issue (especially for defects or damage claims).
4. Our team will review your request within 1–2 business days and confirm whether the return is approved.
5. Once approved, we will arrange a pickup (in select pin codes) or ask you to self-ship the item to our return address.
6. After we receive and inspect the returned product, we will process your refund or exchange.
5. Return Shipping
Free Pickup (Select Cities & Pin Codes)
For customers in major cities and serviceable pin codes, we will arrange a free reverse pickup through our logistics partner. You will be informed of the pickup date once your return request is approved.
Self-Ship (Other Locations)
If your pin code is not serviceable for reverse pickup, you will need to ship the product back to our return address at your own cost. We will reimburse a flat shipping amount of ₹[amount to be decided] once we receive the item, provided the return is valid.
Please use a reliable courier and share the tracking details with us. We are not responsible for items lost in transit during self-ship returns.

6. Exchanges
We offer exchanges on eligible products within 7 days of delivery. You may request an exchange for:
• A different color or design of the same product (subject to availability).
• A product of the same or higher value (differential amount to be paid for higher-value exchanges).
Exchanges are processed after we receive and inspect the returned item. If your requested exchange item is out of stock, we will offer you a full refund or store credit.
Exchange shipping (delivery of the new item) is free. Return shipping for exchanges follows the same rules as Section 5 above.
7. Refunds
Refund to Original Payment Source
Once the returned product is received and inspected at our facility, refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 7–10 business days:
• Credit/Debit Card: 5–7 business days (bank processing time may vary).
• UPI / Net Banking: 3–5 business days.
• Wallets: 2–3 business days.
• Cash on Delivery orders: Refund via bank transfer (you will need to share your bank account details).
You will receive an email notification once your refund has been initiated from our end.
Store Credit (Optional)
If you prefer, you can opt for store credit (Vara Sarees gift card / wallet credit) instead of a refund to your original payment source. Store credit will be issued within 2 business days of return approval and can be used on any future purchase.
Partial Refunds
In some cases, a partial refund may be issued — for example, if only part of a combo order is returned, or if the product shows minor signs of handling. Our team will communicate this clearly before processing.
Deductions from Refund
The following amounts may be deducted from your refund where applicable:
• Original shipping charge (for change-of-mind returns where shipping was charged at the time of purchase).
• Return shipping cost (for self-ship returns where reimbursement has already been provided).
• Restocking fee (if applicable for certain product categories — will be communicated at the time of return approval).
8. Damaged or Wrong Product Received
If you receive a product that is damaged in transit or is clearly different from what you ordered, please:

8. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with the photos/video and your Order ID.
9. We will prioritize your case and arrange for a free replacement or full refund at the earliest — no questions asked.
We strongly recommend recording a short unboxing video for all deliveries. This helps us resolve transit damage claims quickly and fairly.
9. Cash on Delivery (COD) Orders
COD orders follow the same return and exchange policy. Since refunds cannot be processed back to cash, all COD refunds will be issued via:
• Bank transfer to your provided account details, OR
• Vara Sarees store credit / gift card (processed within 2 business days).
Please ensure you provide accurate bank account details when raising a return for a COD order.
10. Order Cancellations
Orders can be cancelled within 12 hours of placement, provided they have not yet been dispatched from our warehouse.
• To cancel, contact us immediately at [support email] or [contact number] with your Order ID.
• If payment was made online, the refund will be processed within 3–5 business days.
• Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled. Please raise a return request after delivery in such cases.
